Right of withdrawal
Consumers may withdraw from a distance service contract within fourteen days without giving reasons. The period generally begins on the date the contract is concluded, but not before the required information has been provided. Effects and early performance
Payments are generally refunded within fourteen days of receipt of a valid withdrawal using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed without cost. If the consumer expressly requested early performance, proportionate payment may be due. The right may expire after full performance where the statutory consent and acknowledgement requirements have been met.
Domains and model form
Domain registration is a time-sensitive service transmitted to a registrar and registry. The right does not disappear automatically merely because a domain is involved, but it may expire after complete performance under the statutory conditions. A withdrawal may be made by email stating the service, order date, name, address and customer or order number.
